45" Long Trunk #2191

I own 2 other smaller Condition 1 cases and didn’t hesitate to purchase this trunk case. Once again Condition 1 did not disappoint. It’s overbuilt with quality in every aspect.

Well made, super tough and thoughtful design make this one of our go to cases for the range and camping. Totally worth the money and the pluckable foam is the way to go for custom gear.

I purchased 3 of these cases to ship our company's marketing materials to conferences. We have gone through so many different brands that always seem to fall apart, open in transit or are cumbersome to pack/ship. Condition 1 is sturdy, rolls nicely and I absolutely love all of the customizable foam pieces that come with the case. If they had larger sizes I would switch out our other cases in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.

The case is great. Unfortunately, the foam is unsatisfactory. If you "pluck" the foam to fit your weapons, it will not survive the first visit to the range. I think $90 is far too much to ask for replacement foam when it's so fragile. I don't understand why condition 1 chose this foam for such a durable case/trunk. I ordered customizable from from another company as a replacement at a much lower cost for much better foam.

I purchased this to hold 2 duty rifles (LE SWAT) and it came with the pluckable foam. The case itself is really nice. Seems well built and of high quality. The foam is terrible. The way it “plucks” out makes it very weak and not hold shape. I would have rather had standard foam blocks that I could have cut. If you’re gonna buy I can’t recommend getting the foam. It is my only regret with this case. I have to give it only 3 stars after paying this much and still having to buy foam again.

Nice case for carrying my firearms back and forth to the range. I wish there was an option for solid foam. I'm looking to purchase a second one. I recommended it to my brother for the same purpose.

to be honest I was quite impressed of the quality & construction of it. The truck has stops so the lid doesn't flop all the way over against the side. A straight 90 degrees with a pressure catch. You can not tweak it by twisting it for movement which was none, rock solid the casters are rubber with offroad style treads & stainless pins. The latches are well constructed, Over all for "my" use & needs I feel will serve me good to store my Rhino Rack 270 Batwing Tapered Walls in, my 12" cast iron dutch oven, trappers ax, shovel & etc. It mounted well on the rack of my adventure offroad trailer

This is my 3rd Condition 1 case and my only complaint is to make more colors in this size, been holding out for awhile… for having free shipping it was fast. I ordered on a Sunday night and had my case Wednesday morning

I needed a large, rigid and watertight bin to store tent, chairs, and etc. on my overlanding rig. It took me a week of research and careful consideration between different brands, including Pelican and SKB, and I'm glad I went with Condition1's 2191.

Compared to the others, here are the traits of the 2191 that makes it better suited as roof rack bin:
1. Latches are all on one side. Other brands have latches on three sides. Having the latches on one side makes it easier to open the lid since you don't have to move from one end to the other to get all the latches open.
2. Internal capacity is slightly better. Pelican 1740 seems to use thicker wall compared to the 2191, sacrificing capacity. That's not to say the 2191 isn't sturdy--it feels like it can take a beating.
3. There are slits on both ends that are conveniently wide enough to fit 2-inch ratcheting lashing straps through, allowing for it to be installed without drilling. This means the bin can be removed when not needed. The attached photo shows how the strap is used, just behind the handle. (Don't worry about the brown grease--that's just some Surface Shield I applied to give it better resistance to the elements)

Other things that make the 2191 stand out:
- Thick handles with rubber, for more comfortable carrying experience.
- Beefier wheels that are wider than the competitors', which makes it easier to be dragged around on rougher terrain since the wheels won't sink into the ground.
- Latches with buttons that allow them to be easily closed. No more having to bang on the latches with your fist to get the latches back into place.

Customer service was good. I had a question about the weight of the bin and I got the answer to it within 1 business day. Shipment time was fast, too. I ordered on Saturday and the package was shipped out on Monday.

I highly recommend the 2191 for those who are looking for long exterior storage bin for roof racks.
