Our History
To understand our origins, go back to the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. Zoltan Pocza fled Hungary with his family at 5 years old and settled in South Bend, Indiana. At 15, he met his future wife while working at a sewing factory, later moving to her hometown, Sherman, Texas. In 1982, Zoltan founded Royal Case Company, manufacturing custom cases and holsters. Decades of experience led to the creation of our brand, Condition 1.
BEHIND THE NAME
Founded in 2008 in Sherman, Texas, Condition 1 draws its name from firearm readiness, specifically “Condition 1” — signifying a round chambered, full magazine, cocked hammer, and safety engaged, commonly known as “cocked and locked”. Our brand is synonymous with high-quality protective products for diverse needs.
